With more than 10 years experience in the classroom, Kristen

What can YOU do to help your child get
individualized instruction?
The answer: Hire a certified
teacher to tutor your child so that he or she can get an
edge on what is happening in the classroom!
How does it work?
Every client has different needs, therefore it's important to make sure that Education Edge is the right fit for you and your child. We give each new client a 30 minute consultation free of charge where we gain information about your concerns, needs, and goals. From there we set up a pre-assessment session. The pre-assessment session is one hour, and allows the tutor to gain more information about the individual student. Pre-assessments can be given in the areas of reading, writing , and math and are grade level specific. Each pre-assessment consists of a learning style inventory, student interest inventory, skills and strategies assessment. From the pre-assessment, our tutors learn what the best course of action is for the individual student. Once the pre-assessment is completed, we discuss our findings with parent and student, and give recommendations for next steps. There are many options, therefore we never require contracts or long term commitments.
